This week was busy busy planning and executing three very important birthdays, from finalizing and shipping off my friend’s surprise b-day package, to celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday a few days early, to flying to Las Vegas for my mom’s 60th. It’s stressful to have three of the most important people in my life have birthdays within two days of each other! But I think I managed to pull everything off and am excited to have survived the birthday wave… until next year, at least.

Just threw on this Philly graphic tee and ripped jeans for a casual work from home day and errands in the afternoon. The tee says LOVE made up of a map of Philly, with the O being the Liberty Bell—so cute!

I had a big in-person meeting for work today (where I had to do a lot of set-up) so I wanted an outfit that was equal parts professional and comfortable. These Clara Sunwoo pants did not disappoint! And how stinking cute is this pink tweed blazer with the pearl buttons?? My mom got it for me as a college graduation gift.

This has become one of my go-to spring and fall outfits (first seen on the blog here!). The striped short sleeve sweater is the perfect weight for those in-between days, especially paired with flats, which is what I always reach for when it’s too warm for boots but too cold for sandals.
Sweater: DR2 by Daniel Rainn, gifted for collaboration, last worn here | Jean Jacket: JCPenney, $19 ($0.09 per wear), last worn here | Mustard Pants: JCPenney, $20 ($0.63 per wear), last worn here | Leopard Flats: Target, $20 ($0.63 per wear), last worn here

I realized on Tuesday that I haven’t worn this pink blazer nearly enough, so I decided to style it again in the same week. I don’t hate it with this black and white cowl blouse but I don’t love it either, certainly nothing to write home about. I think next time it might be chic to wear the blazer with a little black dress or black top and pants combo for a monochromatic look.

I sold my old car to CarMax this morning (super easy process, definitely would recommend it!) before meeting my boyfriend for an early birthday brunch at Snooze. After work, we and his friends went downtown for a fancy birthday dinner at STK. Originally I was going to wear this pink leopard dress (first seen here) with black sandal heels, but I changed into booties and tights after I realized it was raining out. I decided then that I’m only going to wear this dress with tights moving forward—since it’s a little short, the stockings make it much more flattering.
After dinner, my boyfriend opened presents and one of his friends planned an elaborate Survivor-style game for us all to play. I’ve never seen the reality show but the game he put together was SO fun—there was dramatic music playing in the background while we battled it out in various challenges, including Rocket League, Code Names, and Jenga, to name a few. I ended up being the ultimate survivor!

Saturday, March 30
After only three and a half hours of sleep (YIKES!), I headed off to the airport for an early flight to Las Vegas to celebrate Easter and my mom’s birthday. It was raining there so we had a fun day inside catching up and playing cards. I realized I left my tan anorak jacket at my grandpa’s house, but I wore that layered over this white top.
White Top: Hand-me-down, last worn here | Tan Anorak: JCPenney, $30 ($0.41 per wear), last worn here | Jeans: Express, $15 ($0.44 per wear), last worn here | White Sandals: DSW, $45 ($0.46 per wear), last worn here
Sunday, March 31
We woke up bright and early to go to the Easter sunrise service that I’ve been attending for as long as I can remember—except this year, it was without a sunrise! I guess they were worried it would rain again or something so they moved the service inside, for the first time in 39 years. So lame.
After service and going home to get ready, we went to my uncle’s country club for all-you-can-eat brunch, another longtime tradition in our family. I had several Easter dress options but decided on this Neiman Marcus dress that I recently thrifted. I thought it was so pretty, especially paired with my grandma’s green clutch for some complementary color action! It was too chilly on its own so I threw on this white hand-me-down cardigan—overall, everything but the shoes was secondhand.
Purple Dress: Thrifted Neiman Marcus, $40 ($40 per wear) | Cardigan: Hand-me-down | Nude Heels: Amazon, $46 ($3.29 per wear), last worn here | Green Clutch: Vintage, last worn here
. . . . .
Which of this week’s outfits is your favorite? The Easter look was hands-down mine. As always, thanks for stopping by the blog!
Miles of smiles,
